Children's books by Deborah Ellis.

This is from a flier about author Deborah Ellis. My sister who is a 5th grade teacher passed this info on to me and is also using Ms. Ellis' books in her classroom:
"Deborah Ellis, author of more than 20 books for young people, has been to many parts of the world to learn directly from kids living in difficult situations. She’s written about everything from life under the Taliban, to children caught up in war in the Middle East; from military kids here at home to kids dealing with bullying at school. In her talks and her books, she shares stories from children around the world—stories that are both tragic and inspiring, stories of hope and courage."
