This is a very passionate plea.And am so glad that Pulse has highlighted this and being a member too.I have worked in that hospital for many years and normally there is a waiver system for needy patients at Mbagathi.I would suggest you check out with the Social Services,called Julius he is the head of that Department.He can give necessary advice for that.
Secondly let me give you a professional advice now that you have small business, in future kindly check out at Mbagathi (NHIF Office) there is a small scheme for Health Insurance fund and Jamii Bora that offers cover for small scale business people .The contribution starts from Ksh 160 per month then after three months of payment you stand full benefit to be operated on at Public Hospitals without being told to pay more.This is an area that I have helped people living in Kibera slums to achieve this Insurance funds.

Iwas asking my sister if you have already been operated and the see you cant pay thats the timethey will weave you ,and remember sister if you go for appoint ment date they is some little money that you pay like they told me to repeat another scan before igo for operation right now am bleeding am in pain if iwent back they told me to go for scan before any thing else they just given me pain killer and remember it is not free you pay remember before they admit you there is some amout you must pay thats deposit money here out side people have problems some time my children sleep without taking any thing where can iget money for scan it is good you have told me about NHIF if iwill be well iwill join
