The Sisterhood

My how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that my friend Liesl Harewood (also a member) encouraged me to take advantage of the Voices of Our Future opportunity. Even though I signed up hoping to at least make it to the stage where I could receive coaching on how to improve my journalistic skills, what I found was more... much much more.

I always say that I am a resident of the World Wide Web. Being from a small country where the big open ocean can be viewed pretty much from anywhere on the island, coupled with the fact that I am a free spirit and love to go out and explore the world, most days I feel a bit claustrophobic and do not always find persons that share my passion for development in the same way. The internet is a form of escapism to engage with the world and meet like-minded people.

So like many of you that have commented I am amazed that I have found a home, a place of like-minded individuals - like-minded WOMEN. I did not anticipate that I would have received such a welcome, a sense of belonging and to be able to learn so much from each and every one of my counterparts from around the world.

I do not have a sister, only two brothers whom I love dearly, so to connect with women on this level is a beautiful and sacred thing - an online sisterhood in a sense.

I will continue to write and share in hopes that we continue this interaction. All of you have infinite wisdom and I have already reaped the benefits of this engagement, I look forward to learning more from you.

Thank you all for sharing your stories and thank you WorldPulse for providing the platform.

As we say in Barbados, "Love wunna like cook food pun a Sunduh."

Sisterhood

Hello Juliette,

Welcome to your sisterhood network. You're with us to stay. Thank you to share with us your ideas and feel free to make comments. PulseWire is a place where you can interact with women from more than 150 countries. You will have the feeling of traveling and visiting so many countries just by communicating with other women from all over the world without having to leave your island.

I know... :)

Isn't that so beautiful? Access to countries I have only dreamed of. Insights into other people's lives that I never knew about.

Another perspective to help you grow and open your own perception of life.

So true!

Dear Juliette, I am one with

Dear Juliette,

I am one with you in that feeling of gratefulness of being with like minded people from different parts of the world. The VOF Application Process gathered us to a story telling party where we met new friends. And we miss them now that the party is over. Or is it just the start of more parties?

Let's keep in touch.

Hi sister!

Hi sister!
Let me have a chance to call you " sister" .You know I have three sisters who loved me very much before they got married. After their marriage , I became the second one for them but I am not disappointed for that.I am still satisfied for being a sister for them.
Let me be not only your sister but also your friend who can listen your voices.

Best Wishes,
Zin Zar
