Push Me Out!

Last night- when the world locked its doors
With me halfway in but pushed out
I cried for the sky was dark- rain almost pouring
There was nowhere to take shelter
Then I suddenly flew up
That force shoved me hard and I found myself above the clouds
I was headed to heaven!
Now I wished I had brought those others, locked out
With me
I was shocked at my own voice
I was troubled no more
And where all these followers came from I did know, dared not ask
Our voices together, shook the earth
Mine was small, but powerful amongst others
Not that I want to be locked out
But do it if you dare- if you can
You make me listen more keenly, open my eyes wider
See what you have been doing all the years past
So push me out- push us out!

Lovely piece!
Dada yangu Leah,
My friend, this is a lovely piece, indeed. It has a bitter-sweet taste of persimmon, yet, refreshing as the dew drop in the early dawn. The emotions are turbulent, surrendering and redeeming -- all at once.
Keep the ink flowing -- always like your works! Mzuri saana!
Asante sana -

Asante sana dada Shaheen!
You are always a motivation for me! Am I still in your email list?
Mpendwa,
Leah.
