Tribute to a great woman-Prof.Wangari Maathai

In week two my article titled 'In pursuit of greatness' I mention the late prof.Wangari Maathai as one strong woman who fought for the earth(Kenya) she loved so much, despite putting herself in harms way.

It is only prudent that I pay tribute to her. Wangari Maathai generations will forever remember you, we will tell our children of this woman who had an Iron will/determination to preserve the environment where as a child she would play with the tadpoles in the river near her home and enjoy watching them as they swarm listening to the tune of the humming bird.

Little girls in rural Kenya will have a reference to greatness and that it can be achieved, Long live Wangari Maathai, long live Kenya.
