MY THROBBING HEARTBEAT!!!

"What does she want? Why did she only choose this homestead? You have started associating yourself with big prostitutes who want to introduce you to rich men? These are the harsh words I have to contend with when am in the field. This makes the women recoil in fear and not share their experiences for fear of being termed prostitutes. So I have to meet the women when they to women meetings.

African religion and cultures that belittle the growth of women. A woman is to be seen not heard, she is community property. A widow has to be inherited and can't own property.using the snowball technique I empower afew of them who inturn go around empowering their fellow friends.

Poverty makes it more difficult to get correct information. They have a tendency of pay-me-first-then-i-give-you-my story. I simply explain to them the benefit of what I do and if they want change it has to start with them.

High illiteracy levels is a big challenge. Dealing with an illiterate is so tasking. I encourage girl child education and the adult education.

With pulse wire i read how others have solved their challenges by joining groups and engaging in discussions.
I can post my need for help to complete a project and be assured of a response.
Sourcing for funds is easy if I take part in the action blogging campaigns. To me pulse wire is alive and throbbing just like my heartbeat!!!

Ahh the torrent of abuses

Oh sister, I know those feelings - the torrent of insults being hurled at you. The name of the country is different, the location is different, but the situation is the same.
Keeping your head high amidst all that is the big challenge. And you are already doing that. Keep walking. You will go far!

Hi

Its too frustrating when you are called a prostitute just because you are empowered.I know this is just another ploy by men to intimidate women and lower our self esteem...but i don't let the abuses and stereotyping hinder me.I want to empower the women first civic education i.e before i go into introducing technology and other prospects to them.
