About Me:
Theresa Michael is a women's rights and gender activist of 19 years experience as Director, Senior Development Consultant, Trainer, and Team Leader, working with national and international organisations in various parts of Africa. Based in Nigeria, she sits on the Board of several organisations, and actively participates in many regional and international networks.
My Passions:
Protection of the Human Rights of Vulnerable groups especially Women and Girls
My Challenges:
Funding, negative traditions, social resistance, and lack of political will
My Vision for the Future:
A world of gender-responsive and equitable development and security
My Areas of Expertise:
Gender mainstreaming, Human Rights Advocacy, Peacebuilding and Pro-Poor Development Programming and Capacity Building
