About Me:
Born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana, moving to Chicago Illinois two years ago to attend graduate school, it has taken me 25 years to figure out what I want to do with my life. Living in a big city has provided me with so many opportunities to explore different careers and meet interesting people; and it helped me decide on a career. It's a really lofty and idealistic goal, but I want to change the world and make it better for the most marginalized members of our society. I'm not sure exactly how I will do that, but I want it to include community organizing, providing direct services, writing and presenting about the issues I am most passionate about and traveling around the country helping grassroots organizations impact their communities.

My Passions:
eliminating health disparities, advocacy, helping youth impacted by the criminal legal system, philanthropy

My Challenges:
Lack of leadership experience, Lack of confidence in my abilities

My Vision for the Future:
My vision for the future is a world where all people have equal access to health care, decent housing, healthy and affordable food and a good education.
