Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I'm a food scientist and science communicator. I'm interested in using Web 2.0 and social media tools to bridge the communication gap between researchers and the general public. Currently, I work as a communications specialist with a Nairobi-based international research institute.

In my free time, I write feature stories on my blog, Kenyan Women Professors, which highlights Kenyan women who have excelled in various fields of academia. I aspire to excellence and believe in working to make a positive difference in my little corner of the world.

I hope to use this online journal to post stories relating to Kenyan and African women in the areas of education, research, development and innovation.

Thanks for reading!
