Introducing myself and my journal: International Journal of Feminine Experiential Wisdom
About Me:
Hi. My name is Walkfar Mar. I have been married for 28 years and have four children. I am a nurse-midwife and teach at George Fox University. I love my job. For many years I lived and worked in Africa lancing boils and delivering babies on dirt floor huts. I want to see women and their families empowered. I have a special interest in improving maternal health especially in the developing world. I am currently working on my doctorate. For fun I host a middle school international girls club for Bantu and Burmese refugees.
My Passions:
midwifery, teaching, personal growth
My Challenges:
so much to do and so little time
My Vision for the Future:
Every birth a happy birth day.
My Areas of Expertise:
midwifery, women's issues, teaching, babies, vampires, werewolves and middle schoolers
