The Manus Professionals for Community Development Inc(MP4CD) would like to encourage all Manus Professionals to put together a collection of reading materials that they do not need and/or can be donated as part of building a book collection for Manus Province, Papua New Guinea
This project evolved from a suggestion that was brought forward to the Manus Mailing List -
“One simple suggestion if you guys are serious about bring some change is to start a library there.
There are so many of educated people, I'm pretty sure you got tons of books you don’t even read. It’s sad there is no library or good bookstore on Manus.”

Education is the key to development and we all share similar sentiments on improving the current education status of our province.
One small way in which we can all contribute towards this is to be a part of the Donate-A-Book Project.
Any reading material - books that have been collecting dust for a long time on your bookshelf,or office, purchased from second hand outlets, networks with organisations that donate books -children's books, fiction, non-fiction, newspapers, magazines, journals, Study book lessons etc
We will look at how best to distribute these books and/or possibility and way forward in reviving the Lorengau Library or have libraries establised for each LLG/ main centres.
Together Let us Educate our Province, to Educate our Country.
