About Me:
Hi there!
I am member of ORBICOM , International Network of UNESCO Chairs in Communications; holding a degree on Social Communications and Journalism from the Externado de Colombia University and advanced degree on Journalism and Sciences of Information from the Institut Français de Presse, University of Paris II.
As journalist, I have worked for 15 years for several international press services, including the position of editor of the Spanish desk of the Inter Press Service press agency (www.ipslatam.net); Latino American correspondent of Reality Check (www.rhrealitycheck.org); international correspondent of Women´s Feature Service (www.wfsnews.org); freelance correspondent of Infosud (headquartered in Geneva), and freelance correspondent of Agence d´Information Ecologique (headquartered in Paris). Currently she is permanent correspondent of SEMlac (press service of Latin America and the Caribbean). From 2002 to 2003 I coordinated the Colombian office of the International Federation of Journalists. I has also worked as communications consultant for the various development projects supported by the Inter-American Institute for Agriculture Cooperation, UNIFEM and FAO.
