hello!
Hi! What kind of work do you do in Namibia? Reading women's experiences and stories here on PulseWire has taught me an incredible amount about what is going on in the world and what still needs to be done. I look forward to your future posts!
Warmly,
Lisa
HI
HI LISA
I FEEL SO AT EAS MENTIONING YOUR NAME, BECAUSE I HAVE A SISTER CALLED LISA. I WANT TO REPLY TO YOU QUESTION ABOUT MY WORK IN NAMIBIA.
I AM A TRAINING OFFICER AT SISTER NAMIBIA, A FEMINIST ORGANISATION. WHAT I DO MAINLY IS REACHING OUT TO VARIOUS WOMEN TO DISCUSS ABOUT ANYTHING THAT WOMEN FEEL IS NECESSARY FOR THEIR LIVES. I, TOGETHER WITH ALL MY COLLEGUES AT SISTER NAMIBIA, ARE COMMITED AT CREATING A STRONG FEMINIST MOVEMENT IN THE COUNTRY.
THANK YOU FOR ADDING ME AS A FRIEND, AND I HOPE TO LEARN A LOT FROM YOU, THAT WILL HELP ME IN MY WORK.
CHEERS!

Sharing ideas
Hi Justy,
Yes - blogging is a powerful tool for women to speak their minds and be heard globally. Do you have a blog or do you plan to create one? When I was living in China last year, I kept a blog to educate people about the country and to keep in contact with my family (www.chinamusing.blogspot.com).
The great thing about blogging is that it's easy! Using free hosting sites that walk you through the process step-by-step makes blogging easy for everyone who has access to a computer.
I found the following blog hosting sites most useful and user-friendly:
www.wordpress.com
www.blogger.com
Happy blogging!
Cheers,
Jade

HAPPY TO HAVE JOINED
THANK YOU ALL FOR WELCOMING ME TO PULSEWIRE. I AM HAPPY TO HAVE JOINED A BIG FAMILY OF BLOGGING, AND I HOPE I WILL LEARN A LOT FROM YOU ALL.
REGARDS

So good to meet you, Justy!
Are you going to start a blog for Sister Namibia? How do you see blogs helping to create a strong feminist movement in Namibia? I'd love to hear more of your thoughts especially after returning from such a powerful event. Did you hear about any inspiring blogs at the AWID conference?
Have you seen the Resource ExChange (http://beta.pulsewire.net/exchange) on PulseWire? If there is something you need help with specifically you can post it there. Maybe other members could post their favorite blogs to give you ideas for Sister Namibia? Do you need technical assistance? This community is so rich in knowledge, I hope you are able to find support for your work here. Let me know if I can help at all!!
Best wishes,
Lisa
