I have worked with domestic violence organizations, support groups, empowerment programs and conducted qualitative research among non acculturated immigrant groups in New York. My work on poverty, racism and cultural barriers women face has been published in print and online journals. My interest is in immigration, gender issues and human rights among Caribbean indigenous groups and the Indian diasporas.
