Call for a rescue

I was sitting in the backyard. My mobile phone rang but I ignored it. Beep and ignored it again. Then I realized that something is urgent when my heart beating fast. I read her message "Help me, I don't know what to do, my perpetuator wanted to kill my whole family if I still pursue my case". I was cramming and wanted to spread my wings to give her comfort immediately. Stay relax! calm down! I said to myself. I stay connected to those people who works in social services agency. Dial their mobile phone numbers to rescue my friend, then it feels me relieved. I thought I couldn't spread my wings to help her, but through the networking I sent some help. She is under the custody of an agency catering child domestic workers.

Her case just represented millions of cases of domestic workers. One of my friend, she ended her services in the household, but her employer didn't allow her to moved. When she is insisted to leave, her employer eventually accused her of stealing which she needs to pay, and require her to stay longer despite of the heavy workloads.

Another domestic workers were employed in one of a very influential family. She rendered 2 years as domestic workers. In that two years, she endured verbal abused, and physical abused that turn her to become mentally challenge person. She filed a case, but the court dismissed.

Most of them are coming from rural areas, having no relatives and family in the city. In the event like this, nobody could immediately help them. An innovative idea set up by the national association of domestic workers in the Philippines using the effecive means of communcation or "the Mobile Phone" to respond immediately the case of domestic workers who CALL for a Rescue.

To end my day, I really thank God for everything:-)
