My life - My Story - Standing Up

I am born 76 summers back .
My parents are neither white nor black
They are Sanaathana Brahmins of Vedic stock
My family is that of a middle class folk
My upbringing was strict , not subjected to a stick
I learnt my alphabets and simple mathematics with a chalk
I walked to school bare footed , in a short and a slack
I slowly climbed the educational ladder by sheer pluck
I must say that I have been fortunate enough with luck
I went through school , college , university , on the way without any shock
I qualified as a doctor , a surgeon , a professor , joined the medical fraternity block
Traveled all over Bhaarath , lived and worked among English folk
Served as a state government medical professional and retired some years back
Now I am happy , contented with service I have rendered , with satisfaction I look back .
I will soon be 77 , migrated to US and travel between Bhaarath and US forth and back
I wish and hope to see 1000 full moons and request all my friends to wish me best of luck .
I am Bala Krishna Murthy , Anasooya Devi Athrison and thank you with my head bowed and a bent back .

Unite as one, stand by right , and show your team spirit
Stick to truth , trust your faith , adhere to the righteous tenet
Never change your belief you are born into at any cost
Without dignity , honesty , any amount of money is not worth it
You as a group amass and aggregate your talent
Pool your ancestral knowledge and share your collective intellect
Hold onto your moral strength , keep to the path straight and right
Be positive , do not worry about obstacles , you are great
Be role models and shine like stars on a moonless clear night
You are the hope for the future like A Sun in the day light
