What does peace mean to you

Hello Everyone
We have a society named as Public Rights Society of Pakistan(www.publicrightspakistan.com)
Currently I am its chairman.
We regularly receive mails from various global organisations including The Carter Center
Yesterday I received a mail from the Carter Center which I wish to share with every one.
The topic is what does peace mean to you.I will reproduce the the view of Jimmy Carter here:

"Peace is more than the absence of war.Three is an inner peace that comes from personal
security and personal freedom.Peace peace also includes the sense of a mother and father
that their children will live, that they will have food for them to eat and that they would not
be subject to a lifetime of suffering that could have been prevented."
I wish every one to pledge to make this world a place where every mother and father
can expect about their children in above terms and where the human beings will
ensure the safety and security of children of animals and birds.

Best Wishes for every one.

So pleased to see you here

I work as an International Human Rights adviser. I worked for ten years with NGO's in Karachi over the phone and the internet. For many reasons I have a great fondness for the Pakistani people. I haven't been there yet, still, I hope to one day.

A wise person told me once: World peace begins with one individual at a time." Of course, that begins with me. My primary goal in life is: Total inner peace and unreasonable happiness. Quite a challenge on a daily basis seeing as how I work in violence/conflict mediation.

Best wishes

It's peace between neighbors, between employee and employer, between security forces and the general public...
It is a state of mind where we do not have to fight an clamor for basic services to be given equitably without creating a rift.

Salaam
Aminah
