Ending HIV Starts With Women
Dear Members,
As you probably know, this is an important time to for global policy-making on issues related to women’s health. The UN High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS started yesterday in New York. The Holy See and several other country delegations are pushing to remove references to women’s rights and sexual and reproductive health from the final declaration.
There were two pieces in the media yesterday focusing on the detrimental effects this would have on women and the HIV epidemic, one in The Guardian (which has garnered more than 200 comments in the first hour of being posted) and one from CHANGE President Serra Sippel in The Huffington Post.
The links are included below, so you can help spread the word. We want to be sure that our country delegations know we’re paying attention.
