Passive Agressive does not an effective leader make

Tags:

Office politics have always upset me. I don't understand them or agree with them. To me they seem on par with nepotism and favoritism-just worded another way. And everyone blows them off, because "what can you do about it".

Politics

Politics in actual sense is supposed to be "active voice for positive change". It is digging out challenges and working them out for the good of the people however it is now being used as a platform for being popular, pointing fingers, corruption, "sticking there", name it.
What should we do to revive understanding and thought of the word "politics"?

Thank you Hericson for this thoughtful post.

Regards,

Beatrice

I believe everybody has the potential to live a better life. Given the Opportunity, Education and Motivation ANYONE can become someone admirable. Nobody is a NOBODY, everybody is SOMEBODY.

realization

Thank you Beatrice. Before you commented I was planning to finish this post with a rant about how when manager figures don't do their jobs they maybe are not suited for that position, and that I was going to ask them about some of the things that I had issues about. Then I realized that if I continued that post it would being doing exactly what I was writing against.I will not be passive agressive, I refuse, I will look for the good in people and understand all circumstance before making my ranting judgements. I'm glad that I realized this on my first journal entry. Again, Beatrice thanks for derailing my pettiness.

Hericson, I am happy you

Hericson,
I am happy you realized your strength with my comment, even when it was not meant for office politics. I actually generalised it, thank God it has saved you great deal.
Do your research, find something new to paste on your duties, greet, love, thank, your peers/workmates and go on doing your thing. You are in the right place and at the right time!, no job comes "anyhow".

Best wishes.

Beatrice
