At FTX getting Techie

I am happy to make it to Feminist Technology Exchange where I have learnt a lot on wireless and mobile technology. It's awesome to get techie and quit being a tech-dummie.

Using SMS for advocacy is a great tool that I will be happy to share in my training back in Nigeria. This will be useful both at the grassroot levels and in the cities.

When women gett empowered in all aspect of lives, then we can make change happen

Welcome to PulseWire!

Up up and away!

I am so excited to see all the beautiful voices Leah has brought to PulseWire! I hope you will return again and again so we can get to know each other across the wires!

Did you know you can text your stories to PulseWire? It's very basic right now, but it will get better and better the more we learn. What a journey we are all on... on the frontiers of technology and new media!

In sisterhood,
Jennifer

Getting Techie!

Hi! Welcome to PulseWire. Here is the link that explains how to post from your cell phone:

If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask!

It IS so empowering to learn new skills especially with technology. My techie friends are almost all men. When I learn something from them, even the littlest new trick, I love teaching my female friends. My hope is that by learning these skills and then sharing them with other women, women techies will multiply! Can you imagine what the world would be like if as many women and children had the understanding and access to technology that men do? wow!!

Gettin' techie with it...

I'm so excited for you in your newly acquired knowledge in technology. It's amazing what you can do with technology isn't it? I remember teaching my father to use the Internet - now he spends almost all his free time on it and can't believe the ways it has changed his life.

I'm also excited for you to share your knowledge in Nigeria to promote advocacy and putting the tools in your peoples' hands to more easily make a difference.

YEAH FOR FTX, YEAH FOR AWID, YEAH FOR TECHNOLOGY, YEAH FOR WOMEN, YEAH FOR NIGERIA, YEAH FOR YOU!

Cheers,
Jade
