Introducing myself and my journal: Through the Eyes of a Student
About Me:
I am a student at PSU in Portland, I have been introduced to this sight through my Women Studies course on activism. I am very excited and interested to learn about activism, it is something I have never really been exposed to. So I am hoping to learn more from this site. A little about me is that I am a going to school to become an Elementary Educator, and am really passionate about children and teaching. I feel a well rounded education is so important. I really want my students to feel comfortable in my classroom and feel that their voice is heard. I am also a very active person in sports. I love to dance, rock climb, swim and hike. I feel that the sports I am involved in has really helped me expand into the world and experience so many unique people.
Unfortunately I have not been exposed to activism in my own life. So I am hoping to broaden my understanding of the world and myself through my Women Studies class and through this site. I am excited to meet you all, and I cant wait to see what this adventure has in store for me :-)

Holding their Hands
Jillina dear,
I'm so happy having you here in World Pulse. I'm sure you will learn a lot of activism here. Though, activism will come to its full realization when you are with the struggles of grassroots women and of the world in fighting for justice and freedom
Just like you , I love children and I love to be with them - holding their hands and carrying them to a world where they can enjoy without fear and grow with the heart of caring and nurturing for the world.
love,
Malaya
