Introducing myself and my journal: Educating Rwanda's Next Women Leaders

About Me:
I am very happy to join all of you in this community! Thank you for the opportunity. At the Akilah Institute for Women (based in Rwanda), approximately 70 young women are receiving an education in the hospitality and tourism industry, computer literacy, the English language and leadership. With a strong emphasis on leadership, Akilah trains these young women how to stand-up for themselves, take pride in their personal and professional roles in Rwanda, as well as the global community, and how to set ambitious goals as future leaders of their country. I am a part-time instructor, as well as the Managing Director of a new English language service for the broader Kigali public and private sector.

My Passions:
Women empowerment, education, children, travel, new cultures

My Challenges:
Not enough time in a day

My Vision for the Future:
Peaceful coexistence all around the world

My Areas of Expertise:
Managing programs, business development, program strategy and implementation, teaching

Welcome & Murakoze!

So wonderful to welcome you to this amazing community. I was just in Rwanda and so inspired by all the brilliant young leaders. I met the Founder of Akilah, and loved learning about your work. Exciting that you are now here, and I can't wait to hear your stories and dreams, and the dreams of the others from Akilah. please make yourself at home and network with all the women from over 180 nations! Murakoze for speaking your truth.

Warmly, Jensine Larsen, Founder of World Pulse.
