Introducing myself and my journal: Tales from the Red Tent

About Me:
I'm 53 and my life has been full of adventure. I've been, at various stages, a student, teacher, employee of McDonald's, development worker, counsellor, secretary in industry, receptionist at a cathedral office, sandwich-seller, tutor, writer. Writing is now my passion: magazine and newspaper articles regularly published, and this year in line for a literary award in fiction writing. Four amazing children in their 20's. An advocate on behalf of bipolar people. Leader of The Red Tent, which meets monthly to do things that empower and strengthen (and make one another smile). A creative and productive 'crone'!!!

My Passions:
Empowerment, nature, literature, enlightenment

My Challenges:
To have a whole novel published

My Vision for the Future:
Women putting aside their differences - we have so much in common!!!

My Areas of Expertise:
Writing, training, encouragement, project leadership

Hi Fatima

How lovely to be so warmly welcomed! Thank you Fatima. I'm looking forward to learning more.
I run a women's social network (creative and therapeutic) here in my city, Birmingham - if you have a few minutes, the website is interesting: http://redtentengland.ning.com. The site only costs The Red Tent £15 per year to run, which is a huge help in times of financial squeeze...

Best wishes and peace back to you
Jan
