A wave of opportunity

The eyes of the world are on the Middle East, as the example set by the peaceful revolution of Tunisia has moved like a wave across its neighbors. Tunisia's strongman fell, then Egypt's. The citizens of these countries rejoice at having proven that people have a voice and have power that their governments are responsible for listening to. It is a great opportunity to bring about bold reforms that would enable a more open free society and political system that empowers all. Women have a lot to gain from such an opportunity, and it is with great excitement that I read about the brave women fighting for their rights. I hope their voice is heard by the lawmakers in their countries and the reforms are made and upheld. I hope to read more first-hand views from our PulseWire members in the region.
