Looking at the Millennium Development Goals, they touch directly on the lives of grassroot women who do not even know there is such a thing. The UN should work hard in giving the grassroot women opportunities to state their issues and to represent themselves. This has always be done by women who do not know what goes on with the lives of the grassroot women.

There have been several players who have been working towards bettering the lives of these women without asking them what really works for them with so much investments but very little or no impact whatsoever. I am requestign the UN Women, kindly lead the way, give the grassroot women a chance to better their lives, ask them what works for them and what can be done to help their situations.

Women can do it, let us join hands and reach out to these women who form the highest nunder of women world wide.

Thank you!

Dear anyango,

Thank you so much for speaking up for women in Kenya and other grassroots women leaders who have no platform to voice their needs. Your voice is so powerful!

I am currently working to compile your letters and share your voices with the GEAR Campaign, who have been working closely with UN Women to ensure the inclusion of civil society groups, and through the PulseWire community, grassroots women leaders, as they set their agenda. We will also be sending your letters directly to Michele Bachelet and other senior leaders of the newly formed UN agency, to demonstrate the effectiveness for sourcing opinion, knowledge and needs from the global grassroots women's movement through our online community. Through this, we hope to open a portal for our community to have a direct line of influence within the UN Women agency.

I will keep you updated on the progress of our campaign!

In friendship and solidarity,
