I was pleased to read the CIPE January 2011 Women's Update. Beginning with the fact that political participation is a fundamental prerequisite for genuine democracy, it is very important to press forward in countries all around the globe to get more qualified candidates on the ballots to assume legislative roles at various levels of government. Ok, based upon my own observations, I am a firm believer in promoting qualified women into leadership positions to be involved in policymaking. I certainly like the work of CIPE as it is helpful to people networking and learning how to move forward peacefully.
