Introducing myself and my journal: Women Empowerment

About Me:
My name is Ruqaiyat. I am married with four kids, and working with Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).Presently i am doing my PhD.programme in Nigeria. My topic is Micro Finance and Economic Empowerment of Rural Women. I became interested in Micro finance when Muhammad Yunus won the Nobel Peace Price in 2006.In Nigeria we hoped to eradicate poverty by 2020.Poverty is really severe in Nigeria with about two-third of the population living bellow the poverty profile ( that is living on less than USD1 a day). Statistics shows that of the 70% population of the Nigerian poor are said to be women
