Welcome to 2011, The International Year of Forest

Dear GWSF Friends,

Welcome to the International Year of Forest, the 100th Anniversary of International Women's Day and the African Women's Decade 2010 -2020.

We shall use these events to highlight the issue of Water Supply and Sanitation help communities across the World to have access to clean and safe water and adequate santiation.

On a personal level, I shall also be celebration 20 years of my career and my 45th birthday. This would provide me the opportunity to reflect on my personal life, my ambitions and work.

I shall be using this medium to raise awareness of Community Water Supply and Sanitation issues in Africa and other developing countries.

In 2011 many exciting things shall be happening has we move towards the last five years (2010-2015) of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
