A dear friend in Iraq sent this. I think you will all appreciate it. Pass it on!
Thanks so very much for the reminder.
We all would improve life on Earth if we valued fairly the true contribution in the caring economy which women make daily.
"Know thyself." ~ Plato
I've been trying to get my Iraqi friend to sign up on Pulse Wire. She's a natural!
Wow --- each photo tells so many stories. I am humbled and inspired to see these images.
I also think of my grandmother and great grandmother and great great grandmother and wonder who they might
be as depicted in a photograph. Moments in time. We are all one.

Thank you for sharing this on world pulse. I have it on my PC and it is very nice for all women to read. We really don't know what we worth.
Women worth more than a pearl.
''Every woman have a story at every stage of Life''
That power point was sent to me by a dear friend and former coworker in Iraq. She is an amazing woman who has done much to bring peace and stability to her country. I've been trying to tempt her to join World Pulse! She belongs with us! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Your module 2 article about child rape broke my heart. Don't these men have mothers and sisters? Don't they have any empathy in their hearts at all? How does any human being become so hard and cruel? Have you read Martha's story? I thought of you when I read her post. I wonder what my neighbors would think if I stood in the middle of our street and screamed and screamed?
Good Morning from Nigeria,
I am always eager to read your post and comments, they are so encouraging and keep me on. I feel the words of a friend, mother and sister as i read your comments. Though far apart, i feel close to you as your words reach my heart. Child rape is what i do not wish ever for my enemy cos i know the pains and trauma that comes afterward. Like you asked, don't these men have mothers and sisters? don't be surprised to hear that they have also raped their owns afterall, we hear fathers who rape their daughters or step daughter, or cousine and so on. Men without conscience are wicked and can do anything becaos they believe they are strong.
I feel i can do more than counselling victims but also empower them with skills to overcome such situation and to reduce the numbers of those affected.
you mentioned Martha's story, where can i find it so i can read it.
She is one of our sister correspondents. Find her post on her page. Go to the VOF correspopndents page and click on Martha!
You know sometimes, when we are in our little world without being in touch with suffering and poverty, belonging to one of those disadvantage communities, one cannot really believe that women that appeared on this power point exist. One has to experience it for them to believe.
Women of different races, class and creed are passing through so much difficulties to live. Every step has a different story. If we are told to tell a story from the pics, you will be surprised the different perspective that will be opened up.
Women know your worth.
