Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am someone who loves to learn: I love learning languages, learning about the world, learning how to make things, and learning how to grow into the best person I can be. I am particularly excited about social entrepreneurship and supporting efforts to fundamentally change how business is done so it can be a force for restoring ecological and social systems, as opposed to harming them. I work as a consultant on a variety of projects related to social innovation and am currently pursuing a Masters in Urban Planning with a focus on International Development at MIT.

My Challenges:
hearing and following my own inner voice; choosing.

My Vision for the Future:
I envision a future in which the places and systems we create enable all people to thrive and realize their full potential.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Fatima! I look forward to exploring the PulseWire community more and becoming more comfortable with sharing my voice online. I am currently visiting Portland, Oregon and will actually be heading into the World Pulse offices later today to begin a project to connect students from MIT with skills to offer in areas such as design, engineering, computer programming, planning, business, etc... with leaders in the World Pulse community who may be in search of volunteers with skills in these areas for their projects and organizations. I am excited to be joining this vibrant and inspiring community of global women changemakers!
