Evaluation: Experience on World Pulse

Dear fellow Correspondence and all my friends on WP,

Happy new!!! Am happy to be back home on WP. I have been carried away with the Christmas celebration. I travelled to visit my husband's family. Sure, I had a nice time. We had a reunion meeting of both families. There was so many parties and weddings celebration within this period. The cold weather finally came as it was long expected.

I tried to recall what lead me to World Pulse and my achievement so far. Am sure if I start counting my achievement one by one, I may write a book.

My colleague introduced me to WP, he said "there is this website my wife belong to and it is all about writing since you love writing". I asked, writing what? he replied, your story, women issues and any things of interest. I laughed and said, if it is story, I have a good personal story. I collected the web address and log on www.worldpulse .com.

I must confess that am having fun on WP. I have a home here with wonderful and talented women who are always there to listen and encourage me. Am happy to have you all as my international friends, sisters and mothers.

I try to imagine how words flow when I decide to write or comment on post. They come so easily as if I was an expert writer. Sure, my writing skill have developed to a greater percentage. Being among the selected VOF, made me feel so proud of myself and motivated me to carry on. I never know how good I was in writing until I joined WP. I was amazed at the responses I got when I wrote my story and my other post.

Having my email account busy with messages from WP is another fun I enjoy so much. Am so happy to receive and read comment on my post. It makes me feel great that someone has discovered my work and appreciate it. I am so plead to have listening ears. I love to be listened to and each I receive a notification, am happy someone has listened to me again.

World Pulse is filled with enumerous opportunities and designed with skill learning features to enhance ICT use and knowledge sharing. Being on WP for 5months is like I have been here all my life. It is a grooming center and am grateful to my colleague for introducing me to WP online community of women.

The holiday is over and 2011 is here and the training still continues. It will be nice to kick off and join the classroom, hear from all my friends again and write my assignment.

I enjoyed my first month assignment of the interview and I feel like carrying out more interviews. To unveil silent women who are working to touch the lives of others.

I wish to have the opportunity to know the situation of things in my country Nigeria. Most truth and fact are hiden from the masses. It's takes courage to go in search of truth and to find the right person to speak. I wish my voice will be heard in my country and be among the agents of change.

The new began with bomb blast in the federal capital terriority of Nigeria (Abuja) killing and inujurying so many lives. Another in plateau state, Jos and a human right activist shot died. All these am sure is as a result of the fourth coming election.

Please Pray for Peace in Nigeria toward the election.

Happy new year to you all my fellow correspondencen to Scott, Racheal, Lydia, potter, Evelyn, Dando, Jadefrank and everyone.

Very Similar Feeling :)

Dear Vivian,

I am very glad to hear you have got a great time at the family reunion. Let me say that the reflection you made expresses not only your personal story but also for all of us. I also have the same feeling like yours on WorldPulse looking back to the previous five months and forth to the future.

At the same time, reading your post, I feel sad for the crisis in your country. I wish you could have a free and fair election which can really create a positive change. As we just have very unfair election controlled by the ruling military, I exactly empathize your feeling. Good luck, Nigeria.

By the way, what about your second assignment?

Thanks for the post and you inspire me so much.

With Love,
Insha Allah

Compliment of the season Sarvina,

How are you? hope all is well with you. It has really been a nice holiday for me. Am back on sit infront of my computer to commence work and the training. Did you participate in the conference call? I couldn't make it bcos i was out of internet facility. I quite understand you plight on how to kick off you frontline assignment. Have you gone through some of the examples that was sent by Scott. I think them can be useful. I went through some of them yesterday and printed four samples and it has been helpful. Also, i advice you read through the learning materials again and find someone to explain in simple language. However, if the introduction is not coming out well, i think you can start the body and later go back to attend to the introducion. Take it easy, you will get there. Well done.

Anyway I can listen the record one. After reading some samples from Scott, I feel get more idea and understanding and yes now I am working on it. I might post my draft late next week as I am finding some more information to complete my lead paragraph. Yeh I hope I can get there with you all this second one. I will try my best. You know I asked my lecturer helped me to explain about the material coz those English are so bit hard for me to understand but I still cant get it well as most people I have known..they dont like write long paragraph and especially all of these materials are so complicated. And thanks so much my dear sister, I hope I can finish it before the deadline.

Greeting Rachael

Good to hear hear from you again. Am back to work and on my computer. The holiday was useful to put soul and body together. Training continues and i have started writing my frontline story. I have two stories to write, first is a recent story of a 16years old girl that was raped by six nigeria policemen and was abductd for 28 day, used as sex trade. The policemen collected money from other people and allowed them have their turn. This incidence took place on the 11th of december,2010. The second is on maternal health and frequent ceaserean section in nigeria with a personal experience. Am confused on which to write, just sent an email to my editorial midwife for her suggestion and i think i can also seek others too. what do you think?

Encouraging Words

Happy Holidays to you to Vivian,

You have encouraging words, in what you have shared about your holiday reunion of your two families. Also with all that you have shared about your writing's and how much they mean to you. It is good to hear your prospective on what this site has done for you. I appreciate your observation on the climate of the elections as well. We don't always get the real truths, that are going on in other country's even our own at times. It takes digging, and research to find out the real truths, that are going on. I really enjoy your writings, and look forward to reading more of your letters.

Peace be in your heart and joy in your soul,
Lisa
