Happy New Year!
I have trip planned to visit Nepal in 2011. Probably I will be landing in Kathmandu on 24 April. My plan is to visit Kathmandu and enjoy and learn as much as I can about its people, culture and life...and of course the touristy sites too.
Any suggestions what I should do in Kathmandu? I am so happy it coincides with Napal Tourism Year!

Oh you are visiting Nepal. That is so great! i recommend you to visit every cultural site there is in Kathmandu Valley. Like Kathmandu Durbar square, Swayambhu temple, Pashupati Temple, Baudha temple. Also outside of Kathmandu, there is Lalitpur Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar etc. You will be guided with more than just a visit. hehe! I recommend you to also go trekking, hiking outside of the valley like in Mustang, Jomsom, Jiri..these are the place even i haven't been fortunate to visit but it's a great great place to visit. anyways I hope you're trip to Nepal would be good!! bye Bless ya!! :)
