Introducing myself and my journal: grassroots uprise
About Me:
I was very involved in the civil rights movement in the 60's with SNCC(the Student Nonviolent Coordination Committee) which was the most active and militant student civil rights organization in the US at the time. It is very exciting to see women organizing around the world to form activist community organizations that will fight for political and economic and ecological freedom for all people of the world. In meeting some of your members and leaders, I was blown away by their commitment and open hearted enthusiasm and excitement for what they are doing. THIS IS GREAT WORK. Keep it up and I look foward to sharing with you.
