Heroic, Female and Muslim: Dr. Hawa Abdi

Congratulations Correspondents on completing the first assignment! Reading about the strong female leaders in each of your countries has been enthralling and deeply moving. I came across a New York Times op-ed by Nicolas Kristof (co-author of "Half the Sky") and want to share it with all of you. Dr. Hawa Abdi is a truly inspiring leader in Somalia and a woman we should all know about! Check it out here:

Thank you so much Lydia for

Thank you so much Lydia for sharing this ..... She is strong talented woman who never fears from anybody ... despite all those horrible things in the capital she never quited nor left the country ..... she always took care of the needy ones and her work for helping the vulnerable people is amazing!

If we had five women like her in each city i bet Somalia would have gotten a peace!

God protect her and bless her abundantly Ameen.

Peace and love.
