project update

Just managed to write a few chapters of my proposal for the project.
It will be based in one of the children's homes in Kisumu, known as MAMA NGINA HOME. I am working of the Social development and Personality of children who stay in the home. I worked there before and loved being there because the children were warm and loving so were the caregivers. This project starts January 10th 2011 and runs till April 24th 2011. If all goes well, I will be staying at the home and interacting with the children. I will be taking down their eating, sleeping and study patterns. I do hope that in so doing I might be able to offer some psychological growth and attachment in the children.
I have lost a parent and can identify with the pain. I know it is not the same but I can empathize and in so doing I hope that during my stay there, the children might ask me lots of questions, enjoy their time with me and also learn certain things that I do. I can also teach them to journal, as part of my duty there. I know that writing does help heal some wounds. I hope it will also bring to light some budding writers!
Other than that, any advice, input or thoughts that would help my project are very much appreciated!
