My First Expressive Letter

Dear Monica,

Greeting from my heart and soul! I’m so happy to be with you and have you as my mentor and I’m really blissful for this wonderful journey. I know you will be here to help me, thus as I haven’t known you ever before but I feel something inside and it is like a little sign of hope that I am not doing in vain and I feel that you have the friendly soul to mine.

I’m 23 years old lady and I live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I’m volunteering for Soroptimist International Phnom Penh as a Project Officer and I’m now pursuing Master in Development Management at Norton University, Cambodia. I feel so familiar with you and I’m also happy to learn from your experience. I’m sure even we live far a part but our hearts will be connected through the mind and soul.

In these five long months, I’m pretty sure we will become a teacher and student, friends or partners and more closed relationship when we start to get to know each other more and more. I will follow you every step as you will be my dearest guider to find solutions to make a change to myself, my family, my community and my country. After spending 5 months being with you, I will be more self-confident & awareness and bring joy to my life.

Thanks so much to WorldPulse that let me have a great chance to meet my dearest mentor Monica!

With all my loves,
Sarvina

My first comment

Hi Sarvina and Monica,

I just read Sarvina's letter. I think it is so amazing that we are able to connect in this way, across continents. Thank you Rachel and World Pulse for setting this up! Sarvina, I love your positive attitude, and I am sure that all of us will benefit from this project.

Sarvina, do you have Skype on your computer? It would be great to chat with you in real time. Phnom Penh is 14 hours ahead of San Diego. I'm writing at 5:30 PM here, and it's 7:30 AM there. What day and time would be best for you to chat via Skype if you have it? Let's see if we can work something out.

Have a great day!

Liz

Welcome to PulseWire!

Hi Liz,

I'm so glad and excited to see your first comment on PulseWire and specially with my post. Yeh it is so amazing and i look forward to discuss with you and Monica more and more. I feel so happy to be connected with you and Monica, both of you are my teachers, friends to help me to find the way i go. Thanks for your compliment!!!

Yeh I do have it so we can chat by Skype then...it is really wonderful to learn from empowerment women across continents. Of course it is 14 hours different from my country and now here is 12.00pm and there must be 10.00pm. Yeah the best time for me to chat with you is from 7.30am till 10.30am (my country time) so there must be in the evening and night. Coz I think you might be a bit free in the evening so that's why I choose that time to chat. For me is Okay cos I always work and discuss something with clients through Skype while I am working. So I just want to know the time would be best for you to chat?

Skype, again!

Just saw your post about Skype. Yes, evenings are fine for me - I'm usually up until 11 pm here, so I will make a point of leaving my computer on and wait for your call. Tonight (Thursday) I will be out until about 10 pm - noon your time.

We'll work it out - just keep trying!

Yeah!

Dear Liz,

Yeah that's great that we can find the best time for us but it is really unlucky for me as it is hard for me to make a call. My internet here is just possible to chat , email or read something and it will be impossible to make a video call or call. Anyways I will try to find a solution how to make a call.

Take Care,
Sarvina
