Our first words

Dear Judy,
Our actions can be traced to our heroes, our mentor and our role models. What better gift you can get than an inspiring and strong mentor. I am so happy to have you as my mentor. We both come from similar, unique but yet distinct backgrounds. Similar because we strive and continue to strive for a place in society, unique because ours is so different from so many people out there and distinct because while you had to fight for a place in a peaceful society, I had to do mine in a violent society. That’s the beginning of my life story. Writing this letter, I now look back at the day I took my first step in a cold, dark and lonely jungle knowing I would never experience the fun and adventure of childhood. But you know what? This had made me the smart, creative, strong, unique young woman I am today.
I come from a family of seven including my parents. I have three brothers and a kid sister and now I live my life fighting for a society where kids like my sister will never have to endure what I went through as a child.
Because of this I have to raise my voice, I have to be empowered and I have to have a mentor who can see me through. Thanks to world pulse I have all three to my disposal. Can’t wait for us to travel this interesting road together.
