When it is The Woman’s Turn

Women and men, the same

Jane and Peter had been married for four years with a two years old daughter. Most people admired the couple. Although they were not wealthy, they were financially stable. Jane worked a reputable firm in Kampala while Peter managed a micro finance institution.
Three years into their marriage, Peter was given a transfer upcountry. To keep the family union, Peter came to Kampala after every three weeks. But during his absence, Jane fell in love with another man. According to Jane, her extra marital relationship was exciting and it seemed to have rekindled her love life.
During working days when they least expected Peter, Jane and her new catch would hung out until late in the night. However on a fateful Thursday night, the two lovebirds decided to go out for a drink but went on until the wee hours of the night. It was too late for Jane’s lover to go home so they ended up at Jane’s home. Unfortunately the luck was not their portion this time, minutes into bed, they heard a knock on the window. It was Peter’s voice beckoning his wife to open for him. He had caught his wife ready –handed in the arms of another man.

Here are some of the comments I got from people:
-Paul says it is an abomination for a woman to cheat on a man
-Joseph says it is a tricky situation and sign of disloyalty for a woman to cheat
-Another Jane says men can hardly forgive like women do.
I say when it is the woman’s turn meaning why is it a case when a women does it and a comedy when a man does it (here in Uganda) women and men should both be treated the same when they are right and when they go wrong.
What do you say?
