Proudly Philippine Jeepney

Very fascinated with the means of transportation in the Philippines is the Jeepney. This became a symbol the Filipino culture. This public transportation was originated from the US military jeeps that was left from the World War II and one of the company in making jeepneys like the Sarao in Las Pinas, made this innovation with such decorations that has 9 to 10 persons seating for both sides.

When I went to the West Coast when I was 10 years old. I saw the free way where the streets are huge for the numerous vehicles. I asked my uncles and aunties there a silly question. "Where are the jeepneys, how can I go to one place to another?" They just laughed and told me that our Philippine jeepneys will only be found in the Philippines. That trigger to me the home sick syndrome and I want to go home.

Anyway, after having some travels in some parts of Asia, still no jeepneys. I appreciated the popular means of transportation and proud of the Philippine jeepney. If ever you will go and visit the Philippines especially in Metro Manila, try to ride our jeepney. We still have other means of transportation like the taxi cab, buses, tricycles and, of course, our famous Philippine jeepney, proudly Philippine made.
