Our Education System.

Education is an important aspect of life that all should go through. However, there are questions about education in Kenya, who is or isn't eduacatted? Is it only a matter of reading books,or is there more to it than this?

Unfortunately, those who excel in education are those that are able to cram books-i mean to read and duplicate what they have read for the examiner to check. How i wish more could be done.

I know many girls who "never made it" in school. They never got the best scores because there ability to cram was low. ( I fall in the group of low cramming category too). These giirls have since grown into miserable women,They are "uneducated" because they did not get perfect scores in theri exams. They therefore were not able to get anybody to sponsor their secondary school education because they were not bright.

They look at themselves with low self esteem. In the real sense these women are movers of mountains. Some are lucky to have come out of it,and are successful in one way or the other in their ventures.

I feel the system of education should change, and more options should be available for those who can do better with practical work and reasoning...

I also feel that the Education system should come up with scholls that give everybody a sense of confidence in what they are able to do.

I feel there is plenty of talent being wasted out there that could be tapped to make a better nation, and world.

Leah.

Jambo Dada!

You are so right. People mainly learn through three different styles: Visual learners learn through seeing, Auditory learners learn through listening and Tactile learners learn by doing. By understanding which style you fall under, you can use that knowledge of how you learn and how that differs from how other people learn, to study.

Unfortunately, this is never explained to you in school and so some people struggle as they are learning in a way that is different from how the class is being taught. It has nothing to do with intelligence, but reflects the way we process information. Once people realize this, they see that they are not less intelligent than others in the class and gain confidence by reorganizing the information into a way that best suits their style of learning.

When you open your school with Leila, I'll forward this information to you so that your school can teach in a way that benefits students of all styles of learning. Salamu za upendo!
