Loving the PulseWire Community!

As a newer addition to this amazing network of women, I have only recently come to realize my passion for women's rights. Perhaps through the postings of so many incredible women seeking to change their communities for the better and through the inspiring book by Nicholas Kristoff, Half the Sky, I have realized our incredible ability to generate change.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have consistently pursued activities and involvement that empower women and provide access to resources. While humanizing intravenous drug users through the Eugene, Oregon, needle exchange or providing reproductive health services to under-served members of the Portland, Oregon, community, I am continually astonished by the strength and will of women.
We as women have such resilience and power, and I am ecstatic that WorldPulse acknowledges that and encourages us to make connections and support each other at a global yet very personal level. By participating in this online community, I hope to continue challenging myself, expanding my awareness, and building relationships with women halfway across the world.
I can't wait to see what else is in store!
