Opportunity to Mentor Girls
Join hands to train, coach ad mentor girls from difficult backgrounds to take initiatives to bring change in their communities.
Established in 2009, Greight Foundation is dedicated to Research, Advocacy and Empowerment.
Our empowerment programme- 'Train-Coach-Mentor' Project aims at empowering Girls (and young people) from difficult communities including girls from poor homes, girls living in rural communities and physically challenged girls.
Currently, 20 girls have been trained in Alajo-Accra, Ghana and 30 visually impaired girls and boys at the Akropong School of the Blind, Ghana . Read about our trainings here-

The second stage of the project is pairing these girls and boys with mentors and life coaches who are willing to support them morally to achieve their goals and execute their social change initiatives.
We are looking for Volunteers and Partners who are interested in coaching and mentoring these girls (and youth ) from difficult background. If you are interested

This is wonderful Gifty! Can you tell me a little more about your involvement with this program/organization, and if people can be mentors online (or if it is in person?).
Cheers,
Rachael

Hi Rachael!
I gave birth to this Foundation last year on my journey through VOF!. Sunita and Dando are on board on our 'Train-Mentor-Coach' projects. We are empowering girls from difficult backgrounds including girls from low income families, girls living in rural communities and physically challenged girls. We have trained 15 girls from difficult backgrounds so far and 20 visually impaired girls in building self-confidence, leadership skills and social change initiatives. You can read the testimonies of the girls here- http://greightfoundation.blogspot.com/ . I have goose pimples when I hear or read them again!
We are now pairing girls to mentors around the world. And yes one can mentor a girl on line via exchange of emails, letters etc. Mentors from Ghana can mentor the girls in person and through other means as well.
We excited to have responses from mentors in this community! Yay!!!!!!

Hi Gifty, so happy to hear from you this morning!
Yes!! Photos would be great, I will be working on finalizing the photo collection for the video this weekend.
The music video will have an original song created by a friend of mine, photos of girls, and the texts to my "For My Girls" book. And will be on Youtube to spread around the world :)
Can't wait to see the photos you have and for them to be part of the empowering girls movement :)
Love to you!
