Your post was lovely and inspiring. You are right, we often look at statistics and feel hopeless, but we forget the greatest number being the one you just mentioned - 3 billion women. Thank you for reminding all of us of that fact :)

Yes, education is at the core of solving so many social problems. As you point out, the problem is often a chicken-and-egg one, however, where in order to access education, women must be safe, valued and empowered and the only way to reach those goals is to have access to education....
