Cheering You On: from the Founder of World Pulse

Every day I peek into PulseWire to read your voices and assignments and every day I am awestruck. Sometimes I can hardly believe my eyes to see so many powerful women gathered together in a united chorus of possibility and determination. No matter what happens, to me each and every one of you are Voices of Our Future.

And now, you are embarking on the final assignment – speaking your vision.

Believe it or not, I didn’t always know for sure if the vision of World Pulse would come true.

When I first had the dream of an online space where women like us could connect, speak out, and create solutions to global problems, many told me it was unrealistic.

How would women from other countries have access to computers? What good would women talking and sharing stories do for the world?

Yet, I knew deep in my bones that it would be like a lightening bolt to hear women’s voices awakening across the planet. I knew you would come. I knew that together we could create a safe space that has soul and power. I knew we could cry, debate, and laugh across any border—but most of all, I knew we would support each other.

So many in the world are suffering. The earth is suffocating. And those in power have few answers. The time is now. New voices are needed. Your wisdom is needed. Your courage. Your collaboration. Your poetry. Your clear vision. Your questions. Your doubts. Your fears.

No matter your first language, grammar or spelling, show the world your heart, your life, your community, your nation. Show the world your leadership. Create the future with your words.

You’ve already taken the plunge and are bearing your souls in your journals. Don’t stop now. Keep going. I am cheering you on. Everyone is cheering you on. The world can’t wait. Tell us your vision. Let’s shake the earth!

Love,

Jensine

Dear Jensine,

I was so elated by the way how you got every message of the 2010 VOF applicants' contibution per week assignment in Pulse Wire! ! !.To tell you, I've been very excited everytime week assignment will be given to us and also upon reading the instructions, the reading materials/informations wherein we will going to use for every weeks' assignment my knowledge and awareness was widen and I have the feeling that I am continue to evolve. You know,I copied all what the readings I saw that was posted in the classroom session so that if we're out I can read it so that I did not waste my time waiting.I accept that sometimes I experienced memory gap?(can I call it that way?) but once I started reading it,all the important messages, issues, events that needs to be recall comes out instantly. So that I can say, that I am productive and using my God-given gift to me in a very useful, fruitful, and meaningful way.

I salute all of you Staff of PulseWire.

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun
Or fester like a sore—
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over—
Like a syrupy sweet?

Marvelous

Thank you so much for creating amazing space for women.

Exactly! There is no doubt that your hopes are come true one day. When we measure our efforts, although they haven't reached to 100% success, it is very far away from bottom zero and above the majority 50%. I believe so. So whether I would be chosen as a correspondent, I won't be away from WorldPulse. I am going to keep being together with you all, ladies.

Best regards,

the first voice

Jensine,

when I read your post this morning what I felt was a huge gratitude for you because some years ago you felt someone was talking outside the world and you want to listen them. You were not just our first voice as you have this vision but our first worldwide ear. You want to hear us and you were prepared for that. Your love and kindness for this planet, women, children and everything in it allows you to hear the voices of the future which you did not know for sure were going to come through but we did. We were there. We are here. From a long time. Thanks for your wisdom. Your love. Your patience. Your persistence. Your will. Your reciprocity. Your compassion. Your courage. Your voice which also comes from our past, this present and it is also one of the future.

Thank you Jensine!

Thank you for the wonderful opportunity and for believing that women all over the world can provide solutions for the global challenges if they work in unity not isolation. The past three weeks for me was like a rehabilitation centre of bitterness, anger, sadness and feeling sorry for oneself.

I no longer had the strength to kick the feeling of being a failure inside me. Each post I read as referred in our assignment including how you started World Pulse revitalized my inner soul and today I feel confident that I can change women in our communities and all over the world.

I've never met you but what you have done together with your team and the amazing women cannot be described in words. No amount of money can ever buy the strength and support I received with each passing assignment and yes for every woman who took this rigorous task is indeed a Voice of Our Future. I am most proud, so, so proud of you.

Bravo

I am thrilled to be part of this group. Every week I comb through the entries and I think, "Wow. How can I compete with that?" Having been raised in a traditional male environment this concept of being supportive to one another and actually rooting for the competition is foreign to me, but I like it!

This is such an amazing personal journey for me. Never before have I felt as though I had so much in common with a group of people. I have found my place. I am WOMAN. I like it.

Thank you for making it possible.

Thank you for bringing this Unity!

Every now and then i peek in this site, i feel a strong sense of belonging, we are one familly .I might not know all of you or even your cultures but i know we speak on language no matter our differences we share one visoin, and i wake up happy dailly knowing i have a familly across the globe.

This is home to me, thank you for believing in your vision now we are all thriving in it.

Much blessings.

I am because we are :-)

Dear Jensine,

This was perhaps the most most empowering words I have read in a long long time.It actually makes me sit up, brace myself and look upto a new me, a new you, and a new global sisterhood!!!!

I worked for livelihood enhancement programmes for the rural women in India and for widows and orphans of the HIV/AIDS deaths in India which is alarming. In my work, I came across so little support available for these women and the complete confusion, chaos and ingnorance as to which direction to head.

The best thing I ever did was log into World Pulse and the best moment was to read your letter to us.

I am personally moved by your lines-'I knew that together we could create a safe space that has soul and power. I knew we could cry, debate, and laugh across any border—but most of all, I knew we would support each other.'

Thanks for that kind of call, that kind of support.

Love
