25 Horribly Sexiest Vintage Ads

Looking at these Ads I thought oh well, after all, we have come a longgggg way and yes, I laughed too . But we still have a long way to go. ( just read some of the comments below the article !!!)

Have you came across similar ads in your community? Is there any Ad statements or visual you came across recently that reinforces gender or racial stereotypes? I recall one Ad line stating, 'using this cream will make your skin whiter and achieve all the success in your life' :S :S
Since when did skin color started to correlate my personal success!!! ??

Hi Farona,
These ads are so funny! How much things have changed but I think some of the same attitude still remains, but it shows in a different way. Thanks for sharing it!

Yes they are indeed funny -

Yes they are indeed funny - imagine having these types of Ads on our television in this era !!!! :S would suffocate me.
I find one ad very disturbing, the line "keep her where she belongs" and the accompanied picture only makes it more puke-inducing......

Skin Colour!

Sometimes they make artists look "whiter" through photoshop in magazines...mmmmm...I know what you mean, does that mean they are prettier?

Yes you noticed a good point

Yes you noticed a good point - many fashion/beauty magazine edit colors of skin :S I don't understand the purpose. It seems like many people believe 'beauty lies in color of your skin' :S Goodness !!!!
