Every time I watch a music video or a live artiste perform, I am always mesmerized. The message in their songs always leaves a lasting impression. A while back, I was obsessed with singing. I know for sure I cannot sing yet I prayed each day that I would wake up with a melodious voice and belch up some lyrics. Well, the prayer was never answered and for a good reason.
According to me then, singing would make people listen. I have realized that I can still use my voice in other ways and deliver the message.
My voice is my power, my number one asset. I remember the first day I stood in front of a large gathering to do a power point presentation. It was the best moment of my life. The silent that prevailed during the presentation and the cheers that ensued after I was done with the presentation left a big mark in my life.
Many are the times I have yearned of such platforms that will articulate my voice without any discrimination. Where what I have to say will at least be heard before judgment can be passed. I have published a few articles on women but still I felt that it is inadequate. I have done volunteer work and I am still doing it but I still feel that it is not sufficient.
I grab every opportunity that comes my way with all that I got. When a friend of mine forwarded a link about the voices of our future, I was so delighted. This was my highest high and immediately I signed up. There is nothing as profound as when you speak and someone listens, when you write and people post comments to your story! Voices of our future is such a forum.
Through Voices of our Future my inspirational stories will be read and create an impact. One of my goals in life is to be a motivational speaker. I love talking to people and uplifting them. In many graduation ceremonies, I am always called upon to share a few words with the graduands.I feel fulfilled when they later call on me and say that i stirred something in them.
Alternatively, when I visit children’s home and the eyes of the little ones light up when I share a story with them. The smile on their little faces makes me go for that charity work again. I do not want to be yet another statistic of someone who came, saw and conquered nothing!
Voices of our future has allowed me to ‘Take the first step in faith though I can’t see the whole stair case, I have chosen to take the first step.’
This voice of mine will be the brightest star of all. It will inspire the hopeless; it will awaken the giants in women and aid them in pursuing their dreams. Through Voices of our Future my dream of becoming a motivational speaker is being actualized.

Am all smiles

Hi Harmony,

You got such a lovely name and i love your signature 'smile it gives hope'

Am all smiles at the moment and yeah our voices are our biggest assets.

Dear Naitore,

Fa-la-lu-uh...oops, I can not carry a tune but our melody comes straight from our heart and spirit to touch people in ways that comforts, inspire and motivate them. Songbirds we may not be but as you stated, you have realized and used your gift of voice to motivate and inspire others as called upon. Yes, your song is your voice and I know you will use it well to inspire others to sing their heart songs for the world to hear.

Thank you for being a bright shining star and your light illuminates the world so beautifully! I am listening to your heart song, keep up the good work!

With gratitude,

Linda Ando

Dear Naitore

Your confidence and passion for motivational storytelling is really inspiring. I am interested to know more about the topics that you speak about and how this impacts/could impact on the people that you speak to.

Hoping world pulse is that forum from which you can utilise your desire to motivate and inspire :)

Hi Tina

Nice to hear from you.

I generally speak on anything that will motivate people but wat is of utmost importance is my audience.

The audience makes the topics of discussions to vary. However i will send you a simple list of some of the key areas that feature.

Hi, I'm Lima and one of your Listeners for the week! Reading your post, I felt truly inspired. I'm certain you will reach your goal of being a motivational speaker but the road you have taken to reach WorldPulse, I feel will only make you a better person with another story to tell. You were right in your post as well, you don't have to be a pop star to reach others with your voice.

Best of luck,
