A LEARNING EXPERIENCE - WEB 2.0

WEB 2.0 - VOF 2010 WEEK ONE

For me, Web 2.0 is a learning experience. It affords me a hands-on training instruction on how to navigate my way through the Internet. It is a real fun and easy way to interact with women all over the world, and gets my messages across globally. I am really exited to have access to this powerful tool, and to have it added to my knowledge.

Even for a novice, Web 2.0 is user friendly, and it gives me all I need to get my job done efficiently, without stress. I find it to be a very effective form of training. I am now very confident, and happy to be a part of VOF 2010.

Web 2.0 has some very useful and informative terms that give one the needed guidance to the use of computer and the Internet .With the aid of Web 2.0; women are empowered to have their voices heard, communicating effectively with one another, and making a difference. It also gets women to share their thoughts about their affairs.

The solutions that Web 2.0 brings to the global women’s empowerment is that it has given us the opportunity to be participants, and affords universal access to information from any computer, thereby making it less stressful in getting our voices heard.

Web 2.0 has already empowered me, in that it has given me the ability to read, and to be read from other women globally, and this allows me to be a well informed person. With the training I got from Web 2.0, I can confidently refer myself as a citizen journalist, in that I can publish, and distribute my stories globally through the Internet.

Web 2.0 has a very positive impact on me; it will continue to be empowering to me because it has given me links to other women, and the ability to hear and be heard.
With the aid of Web 2.0, I believe I can navigate my way to the success of becoming one of the 2010 Global Correspondents.

If this is not empowerment, I wonder what else is.
Thank you World Pulse, for having me on board, and getting me well equipped.
More power.

I wish you all the best and my wish is that you are selected. It is indeed a learning experience, something I didn't even think about myself. I am so proud of you, it's not a shame to be a widow and you have my respect and ultimate love for giving all the widows a voice Mama.

Take care of yourself and may God give you strength, always.

Dear Rose Candy, Thank you

Dear Rose Candy,

Thank you very much for your thoughts on Web 2.0. I agree with you that each woman who has a computer at her fingers can now connect with women around the world, and it makes getting her voice heard that much easier! It would be wonderful if you could add personal examples of how you find using the internet empowering, or how you think it can help your Grandma Rose Foundation!

Kind regards,

Rachael

INTERNET, MY DIVINE EMPOWERMENT

Dear Rachael, MH:
The Internet, through Pulsewire has been a powerful platform for me to reach out and touch women and children worldwide, by voicing out and sharing my experiences, as a helpless widow, as a single mother to my children and as a concerned and interested member of our universe.

Through the Internet, I have been empowered to reach children all over who are craving for the type of healing I have to offer through my mothering, molding, and nurturing messages. Believe me, this will definitely work. Remember, it worked on my children, and it will, and is really working on other children.

What Offline – face to face interaction will achieve in months, Online – Internet will reach millions in a minute, just by a click of the mouse. So, you can see, personally, Internet makes my work a whole lot easier. I call this divine empowerment, and Web 2.0 experience has been added to my Resume.

With a functioning, efficient Work Station and adequate constant power supply (in my country) to activate the Internet passage, GrandmaRose Foundation will now have a global platform to make an impact on helpless individuals who are waiting for a divine push.

We need to continuously reach out to our targeted audience, and the Internet is the avenue.
Many women globally are really looking for empowerment to educate them and restore their self esteem through constant outcry from some one who was once in their situation. They need to FIND themselves, (please refer to my VOF Assignment Week Two – Finally FOUND myself).

Thanks, Rachael for your interest in my journal, and I hope you will find the above examples and explanations refreshing.
Keep up the good works and stay blessed.

JUST REACHING OUT

Dear Antonia,
Thanks for responding to my journal.
Web 2.0 is a divine and powerful tool for me in that it enables me to reach my targeted audience - Women, widows, and children, in an instant. It is also userfriendly, in that I was not a professional internet navigator.

Let me borrow a part of my reply to Rachael, MH: "What Offline – face to face interaction will achieve in months, Online – Internet will reach millions in a minute, just by a click of the mouse. So, you can see, personally, Internet makes my work a whole lot easier. I call this divine empowerment."

You see, Antonia, I am a 61 year old woman, a widow and a single mother. I have had to go through a very rough road raising my children, and eventually myself, through educational empowerment which restored my self esteem, and gave my children educational enablement to function successfully in any society.

Because, I took the path, and it paid off, I believe every woman or widow out there somewhere will like to hear the voice and encouragement of someone who has threaded that path they on right now.
I have been working hard to reach my audience, only around my environment, and a little far off, through face to face interaction.
I thought I was reaching out until I stumbled on Web 2.0 through Worldpulse, and the system changed everything for good. I can now just publish a story, post it, and it gets to my people in seconds, thereby sending positive waves to otherwise discouraged and helpless people, globally.
I know, I am yet to make more impact through the Internet and Web 2.0, when I eventually become a Global Corresspondent through Worldpulse. So help me God.
Thanks for cheering me up.
Stay blessed.

thank you

Dear Rose Candy,

Thanks for your lovely reply! And for telling me a bit about your life. And you are right, I am sure many widows would find it very encouraging to hear your story and how you have dealt with the difficulties of being a widow and moving forwards with life. Web 2.0 would certainly help with the sharing of your story and your encouragement. Amazing that you put your children and yourself through education despite the difficulties...
Thank you for replying to my post, good luck and take care....

Feed Back on Assignment 1

Hi Rose Candy,
Thank you so much for participation in the excellent program. I enjoyed reading your first assignment. I felt that you wrote a well structured assignment that was clear and to the point with a good introduction and conclusion. My only real suggestion would be to add in a personal example/story of how Web 2.0 relates to you.
What is the Grandma Rose Foundation?
I can't wait to hear more form you.
Thank you,
Mila
