Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I just retired after a long career in private school education in New York City and Los Angles. I have taught in grades 1, 2, 3,4,5, 6, and 7. Although I loved all of my experiences, I especially loved teaching English literature to seventh graders. After I had taught for many years, I became a dean of seventh and eighth grade in my school. Then I moved on to become a middle school head. Finally, my husband and I came to California to be near our son (our only child) and I continued my work in education.
My Passions:
I love to read, cook and travel
My Challenges:
Making sure I stay busy in my retirement
My Vision for the Future:
To create a world where people were respected for their individual gifts, regardless of gender, religious affiliation or ethnic background.
