Female Lawyer Arrested in Iran

Nasrin Sutude, a lawyer for many political prisoners, has been arrested. Some days ago agents of the Ministry of Intelligence went to her house and office, searched her things, and took files from her clients' cases along with her families belongings. They then gave her a summons letter to Evin Prison.

Evin is the prison where politicians, human rights activists and journalists are being held. She went to prison with her lawyer but they didn't let her lawyer go in. She hasn't returned home yet.

Nasrin Sutude previously had said she wouldn't be sad if she were arrested because she would be at the same place with the innocent people she has been defending.
