With Liberia coming from the ashes of war and backwardness, there are several national and international partners that are striving to restore hope to the forgotten generation or sex(women). One of these local Non-Govermental Organizations is the Center for Media Studies and Peace Building,(CEMESP).

On Tuesday, the 31st day of August 16 female journalists in Liberia, specifically Monrovia walked away with certificate of achievement in internet journalism, after acquiring knowledge in different areas of journalism and internet governernce for three consecutive weeks.During those three weeks, female journalists were taught several courses includeding;basic englishlanguage skills, introduction to computer, microsoft word and excel, power point presentation, digital radio production, multi tracting, media law and ethics, internet gorvernance and privacy ect.

On behalf of the female journalists, Akai Aweletey of Power FM/TV thanked the Center for the training and promotion of women."Today we want to say we're very grateful to CEMESP for organizing such a unique training that placed us on pal with our male counterparts"she asserted.

The Executive Director of the organization, Malcom Joseph also thanked the United Nations Educational,Scientificl and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for their financial contribution and said his organization will always strive to promote the values of women in Liberia.

With remedies like Resolution 1325,which seeks to promote the values and welfare of women to the core, there seems to be hope for the future, but the challenges are still like a mountain that is posing a serious threat to women in Liberia.

"We've already gotten the knowledge,I pray that all of you my colleques will perform to expectation regardless the intimidations from our male counterparts.
